It's Tinker Day!

This morning at 07:15 we were woken by the seniors shouting "Tinker Day!" and banging on pots and pans. Everyone went down to Moody and ate their fill of Krispy Kreme doughnuts!! Then, we all rushed back to our rooms, changed into crazy outfits and headed for the front quad where President Bell officially announce that it was Tinker Day and that classes were cancelled! All the girls cheered and then in a 100 year old tradition we marched up the steap trail all the way up to the top of Tinker Mountain!

Once there we ate fried chicken with pototo salad, baked beans, rolls, pickles, brownies, soda and apple cider. We walked to the lake that lies on top of Tinker Mountain and by the shore we watched as each class and special organizations performed skits that made us laugh. There was even a contest for the first years to see who was the best dressed. I participated in it. We were all asked to do something crazy to show our spirit. Most people jumped around and screamed. Kathy did a fake strip tease. And I, in my Robin Hoodish type costume, did a dive roll on to the ground hopped up and did a Swashbuckler stance proclaiming "Har Har!" When all that was done we climbed back down the mountain to enjoy the rest of our free afternoon. Tinker Day served as an excellent break from classes and saved me from having to go to computer programming where I would have been forced to perfect my program that prints out the lyrics of the 12 Days of Christmas. I know you all want a copy of it when it's done because it's ever so useful. Once it's installed on your computer you'll wonder how you ever got along without it! No longer will you have to search for the lyrics online. No longer will you have to get a headache trying to remember them. Now you can have your very own program! Just send 4.99 plus shipping and handleing to:
